Personal Insight

My Underlying Philosophy

At the heart of my approach is a commitment to nurturing the four domains of physical literacy: physical, psychological, social, and cognitive. By addressing each of these areas, I aim to support every aspect of a child's development, ensuring a balanced and holistic approach to their growth and well-being.

I stay current with the latest research on how exercise can benefit neurodiverse children, applying strategies that are both effective and adaptable to individual needs. This helps me tailor my methods to best support each child’s unique journey.

Guided by Self-Determination Theory, my philosophy emphasizes:

  • Autonomy: Allowing children to make their own choices.

  • Relatedness: Building meaningful connections with others.

  • Competence: Helping children develop their skills and confidence.

By focusing on these principles, I strive to create an environment that boosts motivation, well-being, persistence, and positive relationships, helping each child grow and thrive in their own way.
